Prayers of the Faithful Twenty-Third Sunday in Ordinary Time 10 September 2023

1. That the holy Church of God will continue to preach the gospel of God’s reconciling love.
   
   We pray to the Lord.

2. That the nations of the world will learn to envision the people of our fragile planet as true brothers and sisters.
   
   We pray to the Lord.

3. That those who are seeking the love of God will find in this community of faith a welcoming home.

We pray to the Lord.

4. That those who return to school will have a safe and healthy school year.
   
   We pray to the Lord.

5. That all of us, saints and sinners alike, will seek the one who brings healing and reconciliation.
   
   We pray to the Lord.

6. That the sick will know the healing presence of Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.
   
   We pray to the Lord.

7. That the dead will soon be gathered at the banquet feast of heaven.
   
   We pray to the Lord.
