Prayers of the Faithful Twenty Seventh Sunday of Ordinary Time 9 October 2022

1. That Church leaders will be prophetic witnesses to the healing power of Christ’s love, 

We pray to the Lord.

2. That those entrusted with political power will work to bring affordable health care to all who are sick,

We pray to the Lord.

3. That those in the medical profession will be strengthened as they bring the healing presence of God to all,

We pray to the Lord.

4. That children around the globe will be protected from harm, receive the food they need for healthy sustenance, and know the care of a loving family,

We pray to the Lord.

5. For all who are ill: will be comforted through the efforts of their caregivers and the outreach of this Christian community. Let us pray especially for those whose names have been placed on our altar.
