Prayers of the Faithful Twenty Seventh Sunday of Ordinary Time 2 October 2022

1. For our Holy Father, Pope Francis, that he will continue to lead the Church in proclaiming the Good News of Christ

We pray to the Lord.

2. That those in positions of political power will use that power for the common good,

We pray to the Lord.

3. That the victims of violence and strife will be unafraid to cry out to God in their pain,

We pray to the Lord.

4. That those who have worked for the preservation of all human life, from conception to natural death, will be lifted up and renewed in their efforts,We pray to the Lord. 
5. For all who are ill: may God heal them in their need. Let us pray especially for those whose names have been placed on our altar.

We pray to the Lord.

6. For all who have died: may enter the Kingdom of God surrounded by the angels and saints.
