Prayers of the Faithful Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Readings
  1. For the Church: may we embrace both the dying and the rising in our daily lives and grow into a fuller sharing in the new life of the Christ

We pray to the Lord.

  1. For the grace of detachment: may God free us from the bonds of our egos,  attachment to power or prestige so we may be of service to others as priests, deacons, religious, married and single people

We pray to the Lord.

  1. For the grace to surrender pride: may we honestly appreciate our gifts and weaknesses, and surrender our false sense of self to God who heals all

We pray to the Lord.

  1. For all who exercise authority: may they use their authority to call forth the gifts of others, to free those who are unjustly restrained, and to lead others to wholeness and freedom

We pray to the Lord.

  1. For the ill: may God grant them strength and wholeness. Let us pray especially for those whose names have been placed on our altar.

We pray to the Lord.

  1. For all who have died: may they find mercy as they approach the throne of Grace. We pray especially for Richard Muscat, Cesira Savo Sardaro, Elsa Marina Espinoza Jaramillo, Flor Morales, Alejandro Bautista, Fr. Charles Reeves, Fr. Marshal Beriault, Gerardo Esparagoza
