Prayers of the Faithful Nineteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time 13 August 2023

1. For the Church: that the Pope, successor to Peter the apostle, will lead the Church with courage in times of peace and in times of turmoil.
   
   We pray to the Lord. 
2. That the leaders of nations around the world will envision all people who inhabit our fragile planet as true brothers and sisters. 

   We pray to the Lord. 

3. That those who care for chronically ill children will find strength they need through the prayer and outreach of this community of faith.

We pray to the Lord.

4. That those who bring the Eucharist to the sick and shut-ins will be renewed in faith as they fulfill their roles as ambassadors of peace.

We pray to the Lord.

5. That the sick will be comforted in their time of trial.

   We pray to the Lord.

6. That the dead will be granted eternal rest in heaven.
