Readings

Archdiocese-of-Toronto announcement about the new Archbishop of Toronto

  1. For the Church: that we may be transfigured more and more into the image and likeness of Christ,

We pray to the Lord.

  1. For courage like Abraham: that we go forth from all that is familiar to new places and relationships into which God leads us,

We pray to the Lord.

  1. For an openness of heart: that as we prepare to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation, we may discover God’s unbounded love that desires to forgive and free us,

We pray to the Lord.

  1. For all who are trying to discern their calling in life: that they may make space in the busyness of life to let God’s Word move their hearts as priests, deacons, religious, married or single persons,

We pray to the Lord.

  1. For the gift of peace: that God will turn hearts from violence and open new pathways for cooperation so that all might live in safety,

We pray to the Lord.

  1. For those in pain of body, mind, soul or spirit: that they know healing, forgiveness, and transformation. Let us pray especially for those whose names have been placed on our altar,

We pray to the Lord.

  1. For all who have died: may they live in the light of God’s presence forever. We pray especially for: Cesare Cosentino, Oscar Romero, Antonio Penacho, Polly Mojica, Isabel Ramos, Vincent Correa

We pray to the Lord.
