- For the Church: may we give witness by our lives and be instruments of hope to all who have experienced loss, as we live our vocations as single, married, religious, deacons and priests

- For conversion of heart: may the Spirit help us recognize the dignity of all human life and help leaders find alternatives to capital punishment

- For all doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals: may they be permitted to function according to their conscience and may God help them offer faithful witness to Christ
