Prayers of the Faithful 33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time November 19 2017

Readings

As we recognize World Day for the Poor, we pray for those struggling in our midst and give thanks for the many charitable organizations working to support those in great need.  May we continue to recognize the face of Jesus in the poor and marginalized among us.

We pray to the Lord.

For the Church: may be aware of the gifts of faith, time and opportunity that God has entrusted to us, be good stewards of these gifts and diligently utilize them for the glory of God

We pray to the Lord.

For the growth of peace: may God open new opportunities in the Middle East, Syria, Iraq and the world through the collaboration of all people of good will to end violence and promote justice and peace

We pray to the Lord.

For the sick: may they know God’s presence and be at peace. Let us pray especially for those whose names have been placed on our altar.
