  1. English Missals have arrived and can be purchased for $10 dollars at the office during regular office hours.

  2. Parish Harvest Potluck Social, Karaoke, Trivia Night Saturday October 7, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus St. Philip Neri. Save the date.

  3. The Thanksgiving Food Drive in support of St. Philip Neri’s Table will be held from September 24 to October 8, 2023. There will be a box in the lobby for your donations. The most needed items are canned beans, meat, chicken, fish, soups and vegetables, peanut butter, pasta, tomato sauce, sugar, salt, coffee, and cereal.  Thanks for your generosity!

4.  The 12:00 noon senior choir is looking for new members. If you like to sing come out and join us! Rehearsals are held every Sunday at 11:00 am. If you are 18 years of age or older and are interested please leave your name and number with the office or speak to a choir member after mass.

  1. Our RCIA program needs sponsors to accompany our 14 new candidates.  No experience is necessary, just a willingness to support others on their journey into the Catholic Church.  Please see Deacon Damien after mass or leave your contact information at the office and he will contact you.
  1. We have a new Youth Minister, Nicholas De Castro.  Next week, he will be introducing himself to our community at all the Sunday masses.

Prayers of the Faithful Twenty-Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time 24 September 2023

  1. That the pope and all Church leaders will be signs of God’s presence among us as they preach the gospel of life and love.

  2. That the world leaders will be generous in forgiving others and lead our global community to lasting peace.

  3. That farmers and those who pick crops will be strengthened in body, mind, and spirit as the harvest season continues to unfold,

  1. That our parish community will exercise the kind of generosity called for in today’s Gospel and become a place where generous stewardship is practiced beyond measure.

  2. For all those affected by the earthquake in Morocco and flooding in Libya. May the Lord comfort those who have lost loved ones, provide strength and healing to survivors, and bravery and courage to those working in rescue and recovery.

Registration for Reconciliation and First Communion will be held in Hall #1 on Sunday, September 17 at 3:00 pm and Monday, September 18 at 7:00 pm.  Please attend ONE of the meetings.  If your child was not baptized at St. Philip Neri, please bring along a photocopy of his or her baptismal certificate.

  1. Fr. Flavian would like to reach out to all the parishioners about the new lighting in the church that he and the finance committee have decided to implement.  Fr. Flavian asks for your financial help as well as any suggestions or opinions.  If families or church groups can come together to purchase these desired lanterns/chandeliers, that would be greatly appreciated.  More information to come soon.

We remind you that this Friday is the first Friday of the month and we have the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament all night.  It will begin with Holy Mass at 7:00 pm and will end on Saturday at 7:00 am.  Let us accompany Our Lord Jesus, in adoration, reparation and supplication for our needs and the needs of the whole world.
