Prayers of the Faithful 23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time September 10 2017

Readings
  1. For the Church: may we, as priests, deacons, religious, single or married persons be a community that continues Christ’s mission of evangelizing and reconciling those who are estranged

We pray to the Lord.

  1. For the grace of tough love: may we speak Truth lovingly and honestly to those who are injuring themselves or others and be willing to hear Truth spoken to us

We pray to the Lord.

  1. For a new spirit of reconciliation: may we have the grace to forgive those who have injured us and the courage to peacefully work together again

We pray to the Lord.

  1. For those affected by hurricanes, floods or wildfires: may God strengthen public safety and relief workers’ spirits to give words of hope for those in pain, and protection from harm for all

We pray to the Lord.

  1. For healing of social and racial injustice: may all Christians courageously work and form a bond of dedication as we work to bring hope and healing to the world

We pray to the Lord.

  1. For all who are ill: may God comfort them, strengthen them, and raise them up. Let us pray especially for those whose names have been placed on our altar.

We pray to the Lord.

  1. For all who have died: may God fill them with life and give consolation and peace to those who grieve them. We pray especially for Biagia Casciaro, Alberto Posocco, Abdon Tinajero, Angelo Fallico, Ida Favret, Steven Daigle, Albertina Chamale Diaz, Guise Maria  Nguyen Xuân Tin, Maria Nguyen van Ngu, Guise Nguyen huu Nghia and Duy
